| The RodDoors Way
means "Interior Before Paint." Choose your fabric and decide on
the final "look" you desire. Remember that if you want to match
the paint to the interior, there may be 80 colors of fabric and 7 million
color of paint. The chance of the wild paint color matching a fabric is
very small. That's why you see so many gray, black, tan, and white interiors!
"Interior Before Paint" means having a checklist. "Interior Before Paint" means trimming the panels and getting them through all those "ins and outs" of fitting to the vhicle. Now you're ready to paint and you've lessened the chance of scratching a new high-buck paint job. Plus, if you need to weld on any special brackets, now is the time. After paint, it's too late! The RodDoors Way means that before you consider how you're going to do your interior, you need to first consider what you want it to look like. What do you want the design to be — plain or detailed? What colors would you like to use — subdued or bright? What textures would be good — smooth like leather, rougher like tweed? This step will give you a foundation design.
